sing CNSY. this song was totally in my head when i hopped in the car this weekend to take a roadtrip down to woodstock. i've passed the exit for it a million times, but have never taken the opportunity to actually make the trip. it's surprisingly uber close to albany, so when we found ourselves with nothing to do on a saturday afternoon, it was the perfect time to check it out!

first t-shirt i saw in the first store we stopped in- i had no idea there would be so many!

stopped for some grub at the local pizza joint... veggie and ricotta!

they also had awesome beers and bottles of wine available... too bad i was driving!

they have a GREAT flea market in the middle of town... i picked up some recycled grocery bags, and some cool stones to make necklaces out of... all resonably priced- the way it should be...

place wasn't open, but it looked cool!

definitely a highlight of the day for me was this show at the center for photography at woodstock... there were 8 or 9 AMAZING photographers featured... i'd definitely like to head back when another show opens up...

ok- this place was CRAZY! they had more tye-dye and old posters than i've ever seen. they had multiple rooms absolutely CRAMMED with the stuff- couldn't spend too much time in there...

PA weekend extravaganza...

This past weekend I traveled to my home state of PA to celebrate my sisters 21st birthday (oh shit I'm old!) and best friend from high school's wedding. I'll spare you from the smiley pictures, that's for Facebook, but I wanted to take this post and show you the beautiful sunset on the way home. Check back later this week for fun with booze, hotel antics, and of course, the dress!

kids- don't try this at home... (heading south)

I took a roadtrip down to PA/ Maryland this weekend for my best friend's bachelorette weekend.  I left work early on Friday, and while on the thruway,I started to get bored (obviously- I was by myself and started to get bored with my music). What else was I to do, but pull out my phone and start snapping shots?!  Honestly though, I was really inspired by this ride.  I had nothing but my music and my thoughts to keep me company, the weather was amazing, and I was finding beauty on every leg of this trip.  

This is DEFINITELY something I would NOT recommend doing, as it is very dangerous, and probably illegal, but I DID manage to get some great pics! I'm thinking that the good out-weigh the bad in this circumstance, but you can judge yourself...

This was probably taken within the first hour of the trip.  From this point on, I had the camera on my phone constantly on, so that it would be handy whenever I needed it.

 I juuuuuust missed the spot between exit 17 and 18 that me and Matt always try to get pictures of, but I DID get this cool photo of the orchards..

But I finally made it to PA!

Painted sky...

I just couldn't get enough of PA farmlands.  Wouldn't want to live on one, but they WERE beautiful, especially with the sun sinking in the sky.

I was actually stuck in traffic for this one.  Cool tree, and just acres and acres of farmland.

I wasn't alone for this one.  I DON'T think Brandi was too thrilled that I was shooting and driving.  Sorry B!

Finally made it to our winery destination (those pictures will have to be for another day)!
