it was a great weekend!  i love exploring new places around the area.  on saturday we went to the erie canal lock 7. thanks matt! it was an awesome place to take pictures, and it was great getting out and into the sunshine.  i heart summer!

Springtime in the Capital Region- Peebles Island

In what I hope will be the first of many posts on interesting places in the Capital Region, today I'm going to share some pictures from Peebles Island. Located in Waterford, it's a short drive from downtown Albany where I live.  It's a great picnic, walking, jogging, and photography spot.  We brought a blanket, some books (I'm reading the Great Gatsby right now.  I feel like I'm in 10th grade again!), and my camera and spend the afternoon checking out the sites, lounging, and taking a quick nap by the river.  It was beautiful there, and I'm excited to get back when it gets even warmer out!
