Matt at Carolines!

EEEEEEE!  I can't believe I haven't blogged about this yet.  I'm the worst. blogger. ever.  

Anywho- Matt performed at Caroline's last month.  He was absolutely amazing and pretty much stole the show from some Australian drunken chick.  When I get some video of it, I'll be sure to post it as well!

I got a great seat, and was able to get some shots with my point and shoot:

best day ever...

turned into tragedy when i discovered that i lost one of the memory cards for my camera.  i spent a beautiful afternoon in central park a week ago.  i shot exactly one million pictures of fall leaves and was super excited by what i captured.  i can't even describe how amazing that day was.  now, it's all in my memory, and you'll never get to see it!

moving on, i also had an amazing time on the highline which actually starts right across the street from where i used to work! here are some of the amazing things i saw there.  for more photos, see my flickr set.

the village- part 2

Yesterday I showed you some pictures from my walk around the village last weekend.  These walks are one of my favorite things to do.  As much as I love shooting, I also like to look back on them, and remember exactly what happened, and what I was feeling during this time.  Here's another look of my day in the city...

There were just TOO many things to capture in my walk around the village last weekend, so I need to break this up into two posts.  West 4th street used to be my favorite stomping ground when I lived in Brooklyn, so getting to walk around, have a slice at my favorite joint, and get some shooting done was really a thrill for me...

just a brief walk...

back to the subway from MOMA, and there were so many things to see.  I really miss the sensory overload that you get EVERY day in the city.  These shots I wanted to break down into shapes and textures though, so I desaturated them and let the grimy city shine through!

our recent trip to nyc was amazing, and as tired as i was on the way home, i managed to get some really pretty shots from the train... great. trip.

yesterday i showed you some cool stuff from the first day of our trip to new york. after we rocked out to awesome comedy and a few good bars, we decided to meet up with some friends and take a short tour of the city...

we recently took a trip down to "the city" to watch matt perform his first comedy act (he did amazing by the way!)  i actually used to live in brooklyn, and the comedy club was super close to the printing lab I used to work at, so it was a mini homecoming for me.  i had a blast seeing old friends and rockin' out at some familiar places.  it was my first time back since i got my iphone, so i was super inspired by everything around me.  this'll be the first of a few posts on some nyc iphone photography...
